Alongside Lee Hyung Woo, it is

Youn Yeo Jung

,

Yoo Hae Jin

and Daniel Henney who have also reportedly confirmed to star in the upcoming film. Focusing on the story of different people connected through dogs at a veterinary hospital, the film officially marks the directorial debut of Kim Deok Min who previously assisted for ‘That’s My World’.

Previously,

Kim Seon Ho

was in talks for the film. Seemingly, he later stepped down from the project owing to his recent controversy involving his ex-girlfriend who accused him of forced abortion, emotional harassment and gaslighting. Soon after the makers of the film roped in Lee Hyun Woo to replace Kim Seon Ho considering unknown reasons, as per reports.

Talking about their decision to replace Kim Seon Ho, a Korean outlet had quoted the production team, “It’s a bit burdensome to keep going (with Kim Seon Ho) because it’s the role of a romantic couple. We have spoken with the agency, decided to replace him, and are taking the necessary steps.”

However, ‘Dog Days’ is not the only film to replace the ‘Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha’ star. Recently, Ahn Bo Hyun filled in the shoes of Kim Seon Ho who was earlier slated to essay the lead role in rom-com ‘2 O’Clock Date’.
