Jungkook, Song Kang, RM: Celebrities who will soon enlist for mandatory military service

There is a lot of curiosity over South Korean celebrities joining the mandatory military service. In recent times, four members from BTS, actors Song Kang and Hong Sa Bin and EXO’s Sehun have confirmed their enlistment in the coming months. While we are in the final month of 2023, take a look at celebrities who will enroll for the mandatory service soon.

Born on April 23, 1994, Song Kang is 29 years old and has confirmed that he will begin his military training soon. At the press conference for 'Sweet Home 2', the actor revealed that this series will be his last project before he enlist for the mandatory service. Apart from 'Sweet Home 2', Song Kang is also charming fans with his titular role in 'My Demon'.

After much speculation, BigHit confirmed that RM, Jimin, V and Jungkook will begin their military enlistment this month. While RM and V will join duty on December 11, Jimin and Jungkook will start their duty on December 12, 2023. Reports suggest that RM and V will join the Nonsan Army Training Center. Jimin and Jungkook are set to begin their mandatory service with the join Army's 5th Infantry Division Training Center.

After winning the Best New Actor award at the 44th Blue Dragon Film Awards for his act in 'Hopeless', Hong Sa Bin announced that he will join the mandatory military service. It is being reported that Hong Sa Bin will enlist on December 19. Confirming that his military days are here, his agency had said in a statement, "From the standpoint of both the actor and our agency, we worried a lot over when to set his enlistment date. It seemed like he shouldn’t put it off any longer, and there was the opinion that it might be better for him to go now and come back quickly, so that’s how the decision was made."

Born on April 12, 1994, EXO’s Sehun is all set to enlist in the military. Hinting about the same during a recent interaction, he gave a special message to fans, “Perhaps we will meet next time 2 years later.” Since the mandatory military service spans for around 18-20 months, buzz is that EXO’s Sehun will soon enlist. However, an official announcement about the same is awaited.
