Cha Eun Woo and Kim Nam Joo's highly anticipated series 'Wonderful World' sets official release date!

In a highly-anticipated collaboration, K-drama enthusiasts are eagerly counting down the days as Cha Eun Woo and Kim Nam Joo prepare to grace the small screen together in the upcoming mystery series, ‘Wonderful World’. The production team has officially confirmed that the drama is set to captivate audiences on Fridays and Saturdays starting in March 2024, with an additional treat for global viewers as it will be available on Disney+.


This venture marks a significant milestone as it brings together two of South Korea's esteemed talents for the first time. Kim Nam Joo, a veteran actress, is making a triumphant return to television after a hiatus of five years since her last appearance in the acclaimed drama ‘Misty’ in 2018.

MBC Network announced on December 19 that ‘Wonderful World’ is swiftly approaching the conclusion of its filming and production phase, building the excitement among fans for its impending release in March 2024.

The drama promises an immersive and compelling viewing experience, not only due to the stellar cast but also thanks to the creative minds behind the scenes. Lee Seung Young, renowned for directing critically acclaimed dramas such as ‘Tracer 1’, ‘Tracer 2’, and ‘Voice 2’, is at the helm, ensuring a visually stunning and emotionally resonant production. Adding to the anticipation is the talented writer Kim Ji Eun, known for her work on dramas like ‘Lies of Lies’ and ‘Cheongdamdong Scandal’, who has crafted the script for this much-anticipated series.

In ‘Wonderful World’, Kim Nam Joo will take on the lead role as Eun Soo Hyun, a successful psychology professor determined to seek justice for her son after a tragic loss. Opposite her, ASTRO's Cha Eun Woo will portray Kwon Sun Yool, a character with a seemingly kind exterior but harbouring a dark secret that intertwines his fate with Eun Soo Hyun's.


The supporting cast adds depth to the narrative, with Kim Kang Woo stepping into the role of Kang Soo Ho, Eun Soo Hyun's husband and a news anchor, while Im Se Mi assumes the character of Han Yoo Ri, the owner of an editing shop and a close confidante providing support during Eun Soo Hyun's emotional turmoil.
