"The stakes are higher," says Sharib Hashmi on 'The Family Man' season 3
Sharib Hashmi is widely recognized for his compelling supporting roles in films such as 'Jab Tak Hai Jaan', 'Pagglait', 'Vikram Vedha', 'Mission Majnu', and more. Known for his versatility, he has also left an indelible mark with shows like 'Asur' and 'Scam 1992'. In a recent interview, he opened up about his upcoming projects, especially ‘The Family Man 3’ and reflected on his arduous journey in Bollywood.
In his conversation with Digital Commentary, Sharib provided insights into the much-anticipated third season of 'The Family Man'. He hinted at the high stakes and intense drama that fans can look forward to, emphasizing that the upcoming season promises to be as thrilling as its predecessors.
"Whatever ‘dhamaal’ the audience has experienced in the past seasons, everything will be there but the stakes are higher," he said, reflecting the excitement and pressure surrounding the new season. Although filming has only just begun, the anticipation is already palpable.
Further, he shared the intriguing story of how he landed a role in the Shah Rukh Khan starrer 'Jab Tak Hai Jaan'. Before securing this significant part, Hashmi faced numerous challenges, working various jobs to make ends meet. One pivotal moment in his career was his participation in the short film 'Mehrooni', for which he received no payment. However, this project paved the way for his audition for 'Jab Tak Hai Jaan'.
Recalling the audition process, Hashmi described it as a whirlwind of emotions and rounds. During his initial auditions, he performed scenes from 'Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi', a film starring Vinay Pathak. After several rounds, he was initially informed that another young actor had been cast for the role. Despite his disappointment, Hashmi remained undeterred. A week later, he received a call from Yash Raj Films, the production house led by Aditya Chopra. He was asked to audition one final time, and within 30 minutes of this audition, he was informed that he had secured the role. Reflecting on this moment, Hashmi said, "I got excited thinking what has happened."
