This week’s releases celebrate friendships, and some that are bound to go wrong. Let’s take a quick look at mid-December’s Bollywood OTT releases.

‘Thamma’

If your heart craves horror comedy, then you are in for a treat! Today, on December 16, Ayushmann Khurrana, Rashmika Mandanna, and Nawazuddin Siddiqui starrer ‘Thamma’ is making its OTT debut. Set in a mythical world, ‘Thamma’ tells the tale of Alok (Ayushmann), who is humanity’s last hope. On the other hand is Tadaka (Rashmika), a mystical being navigating a dark realm. And then comes Yakshasan (Nawazuddin), the ultimate antagonist. The movie can be watched online on Prime Video.

‘Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat’

Sonam Bajwa and Harshvardhan Rane starrer releases on OTT today (December 16). The movie begins with elements of a classic love story; everything appears rosy. However, as the story unfolds, it takes a toxic turn, packed with high-intensity drama. Further, alongside the main cast, the movie also stars Shaad Randhawa, Sachin Khedekar, and Ananth Narayan in pivotal roles. The film is available for streaming on Netflix.

‘Mrs Deshpande’

Away from all the glamour and charm, Madhuri Dixit dons the dark role that lies behind those innocent eyes. Adapting the French series ‘La Mante,’ the official synopsis entails how an ordinary-looking woman is hiding a horrifying truth: being a serial killer. Directed by Nagesh Kukunoor, the teaser and the announcements had stunned the audiences when they were initially released on social media, using Dixit’s songs and darkened grace. The series will be released on December 19, 2025, only on JioHotstar.

‘The Great Indian Kapil Show Season 4’

Kapil Sharma is back with his hilarious crew to entertain the international audience (and the comedian certainly doesn’t hold back to flex that). Along with the 44-year-old host, Krushna Abhishek, Kiku Sharda, and Sunil Grover will continue their skits. Meanwhile, Navjot Singh Sidhu and Archana Puran Singh join the cast, keeping the audience engaged with their laughs. The show with weekly episodes will start airing on December 20, 2025, only on Netflix.

‘Four More Shots Please Season 4’

The girls are taking the world by storm again! Taking a one last shot, the International Emmy-nominated series is ready to spill the beans of chaos, friendships, messy relationships, and ‘Aisi Ki Taiysi’ vibes. Starring Sayani Gupta, Kirti Kulhari, Bani J, and Maanvi Gaagro, the episodes will be released on December 19, 2020, only on Amazon Prime Video. ‘Raat Akeli Hai: The Bansal Murders’

The gripping film revolves around the murder of the Bansal family members on an ominous night.
