Bollywood actresses are creating a lot of buzz on streaming platforms with never-seen-before roles, experimenting with genres, and delivering inspiring performances. One role that several actresses are taking up is that of hard-hitting spies and cops. While Priyanka Chopra has slipped into the garb of an international spy for an investigating agency, Raveena Tandon is set to debut as a cop. Priyanka Chopra in ‘Citadel’

After essaying the role of an FBI recruit in ‘Quantico’, Priyanka Chopra is set to pack a punch yet again, but this time for a streaming platform. The actress is essaying the lead role of a spy in ‘Citadel’, a spy drama. Priyanka has been snapped on the sets in a khakhi ensemble and gun harness, dishing a classic spy act for the camera. Richard Madden essays the lead in ‘Citadel’ which is directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, who have previously called the shots for the popular ‘Avengers: Endgame’.

Raveena Tandon in ‘Aranyak’

Ranveena Tandon will also debut on OTT with a gripping cop drama. The actress has signed up to play the lead role of Kasturi Dogra in a series titled ‘Aranyak’. This show also features seasoned actors like Parambrata Chatterjee and Ashutosh Rana. Directed by Vinay Waikul, ‘Aranyak’ is a crime-thriller that narrates the story of two mismatched cops, who investigate a local murder and unearth age-old myths. This mystery is based in Himachal.

Shefali Shah in 'Delhi Crime Season 2'

Shefali Shah-led ‘Delhi Crime’ not only emerged as a popular web series but made India proud by winning the best drama series honour at the 48th International Emmy Awards. The series featured Shefali in the role of Vartika Chaturvedi, a character that was based on former Delhi Police DCP Chaya Sharma, who cracked the case of the brutal gang-rape within 72 hours. The actress is set to return for a second season and promises yet another stellar cop performance with ‘Delhi Crime Season 2’.

Sonakshi Sinha in ‘Fallen’

A far cry from her romantic outings, Sonakshi Sinha is all set to embark on a gritting journey on OTT. The actress will debut in the role of a fierce cop for an upcoming series which is reportedly titled ‘Fallen’. She goes by the name of Anjali Bhaati in the show, which is directed by Reema Kagti. Sonakshi Sinha is all set to play a tough police officer in the series, which also stars Vijay Varma, Gulshan Devaiah, and Sohum Shah. ‘Fallen’ was announced in March last year and the team has extensively shot for it in Rajasthan.
