Mainstream Bollywood actors who played the lead in web shows

With the evolution of digital space, Bollywood seems to be finding it tough to keep up with the always-progressing world of entertainment. The medium of entertainment which began with stage shows to films and now web shows; the audience has also been appreciating the new medium with open arms.

While the modes of entertainment over the years seemed to have changed and popular mainstream Bollywood actors also seem to be keeping up with the trend and willing to experiment with the new challenges that digital platforms have to offer. Emraan Hashmi

Popularly known for his on-screen kissing and charismatic performances, Emraan Hashmi teamed up with Shah Rukh Khan to make his debut on the digital platform last year. The two came up with espionage-thriller titled 'Bard of Blood' in which Hashmi essayed the role of a special agent. With Hashmi delivering a breath-taking performance, the presence of talented actors like Kirti Kulhari, Sobhita Dhulipala, Vineet Kumar Singh and Jaideep Ahlawat added the much need star value.

Rajkummar Rao stepped into the shoes of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose in the digital show 'Bose: Dead/Alive' and left the audience starstruck with his perfection and ability to get into the skin of his characters. With the detailed costumes and props from the '30s and '40s era, the show was enriched with top quality performers and the best production designs, gave it an added advantage.
