Aditya Roy Kapur reveals how people reacted to his OTT debut with 'The Night Manager'

Actor Aditya Roy Kapur who is well-known for his movies like 'Aashiqui 2', 'Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani', 'Fitoor' and others, made his OTT debut with Anil Kapoor and Sobhita Dhulipala starrer 'The Night Manager'.

In an interview with a news portal, Aditya Roy Kapur opened up about how people reacted to his OTT debut with 'The Night Manager'. The 'Aashiqui 2' recalled how some people said don’t do it yaar. How can you get into all this? Others stated that this is the future.

According to him, he didn’t feel strongly about the first opinion. He thinks the jury is out on whether [OTT] will be a bad thing for actors.

Eloborating further, Aditya added that he wanted to be part of this story. Plus, he always wondered what it would be like to explore long-format storytelling. So, he told himself not to overthink the move.

The actor further stated that he loved the performances in the original. But people have to find their way and draw from what is in front of them on paper because the language, characterisations and certain situations change.

'The Night Manager', directed by Sandeep Modi, also stars Tillotama Shome, Saswata Chatterjee and Ravi Behl in pivotal roles.
