Watch: Woman gets woken up by elephant in hotel, video goes viral

A video that has gone viral on Instagram shows a beautiful moment when a woman gets woken up by an elephant while she is asleep in her hotel room in Thailand.

While getting a good morning call from the hotel reception staff or alarm is the norm, being woken up by the elephant’s trumpet is surely a first you would have heard.

The video has been shared by a popular lifestyle and travel blogger named Sakshi Jain.

"Wake up call from this cutie. When I felt that air blow from her trunk,” read the text on the video.

In the video, Sakshi who is vacationing at a resort in Thailand, is seen sleeping on her hotel bed when an elephant peeps into her room, through a window, and gently nibbles her with its trunk. Sakshi wakes up and is pleasantly surprised to see the elephant’s trunk right outside the window of her room.


“This resort in Chiang Mai, Thailand has elephants waking you up instead of the reception call or your alarms. Even more better that you can walk, feed, bath and play with them close up. This experience was something different. So the next time you plan Thailand, don’t forget to include Chiangmai city in your trip which is surrounded by mountains, rivers and elephants (sic),” she captioned the video post.

Shared recently, the video has raked in over 23 lakh likes close to 70 million views. It has also received over 3000 comments.
