A man's rendition of iconic Sholay song 'Yeh Dosti Hum Nahi Todenge' has gone viral on social media, and it is not for his melodious or buttery voice but for making a complete mess of the popular friendship number.
In the video, the man can be seen holding a microphone and moments later he starts crooning to the song in the most cringe-worthy manner, as the orchestra plays to almost perfection in the background.
The man sang the 1975 track in the most discordant and disharmonic manner, making it unbearable to listen and almost reminding you of Dhinchak Pooja.
Originally, the song was composed by the legendary RD Burman, sung by singer duo Kishore Kumar and Manna Dey and the lyrics were by Anand Bakshi. It was picturised on Dharmendra and Amitabh Bachchan.
The clip was posted across several social media platforms and has been watched innumerous times since then, leaving netizens in splits. Many even left hilarious comments below.
Some wondered how the talented orchestra players behind the man were able to control their laugh. Others sarcastically joked that this deserves to be the original version, while it is “Burman who spoiled it”.
