As intense heatwave grips India and mercury soars past 40 degree celsius in several places, a video of a man from Hyderabad making a dosa on the seat of a scooter has gone viral.

The bizarre video was shared by an Instagram handle named ‘streetfoodofbhagyanagar’ with the caption warning “don’t try it at home”.

In the clip, we can see a man spreading the dosa batter on the seat of a scooty. As one side appears baked after a while, he flips the dosa to cook the other side. And, interestingly, the dosa gets ready.



“Vespa dosa done by professionals at 40 degree Celsius temperature outside in summer,” reads the text on the video.

The clip has gone viral on the internet collecting more than a million views and likes, and attracting many comments.

Many users remarked that the video is fake and edited as the oil was not seen to be used. One user said that the scooter has turned into a non-stick pan, while another exhorted the man to go to Rajasthan to cook many more dishes.

This year, heatwave has set several records. The country witnessed the hottest March in 122 years, followed by an all-time high in April.
