Video of little girl touching Indian jawan’s feat goes viral, MP Smriti Irani reacts

A video of a little girl touching the feet of an Indian soldier has gone viral on the internet.

In an undated viral clip, the little child can be seen walking up to an Indian Army jawan, who along with three other security personnel is standing on the platform of what appears to be a metro station.

The jawan leans over to interact with the girl and pull her cheeks, which is followed by her bowing down and touching his feet to show respect. Then, seeing her gesture, the soldier affectionately strokes her head.

The short interaction went viral across social media platforms, prompting responses from many.


Among those sharing the video was P C Mohan, the Lok Sabha MP of Bengaluru Central.


“Raising patriotic young minds is a duty every parent owes to this great nation. Jai Hind,” tweeted Mohan.

The emotional clip elicited a very heartfelt reaction from Union Minister Smriti Irani, who expressed gratitude to the girl’s family for raising her right.

The video melted and touched the hearts of many social media users and evoked warm comments from many.
