The video has been posted on Facebook by 'The Voice of Sikkim.' The boy got emotionally attached to the chickens and can be seen pleading with his family while pointing to the van, to not take them to the slaughterhouse. He even folds his hands later in the video.
When his appeals aren’t listened to, he sinks to the ground and bursts into tears. Towards the end, when it is finally time for the van to leave, he waves goodbye to the chickens. In consolation, his father also tells him he would bring more chickens for him.
The video received 21,000 likes, 800 comments, and 1,800 shares. Netizens absolutely adored the boy, calling him ‘pure,’ ‘innocent’ and ‘compassionate.’ The boy received lots of admiration and love for his ‘heart of gold.’
