Rains arrive in Mumbai, so do netizens with their memes!

The south-west monsoon arrived in Mumbai on Wednesday, one day prior, as heavy rains lashed the country's financial capital and suburbs since early morning. Waterlogging was reported in some low-lying areas, but the local train services remained unaffected, while routes of some BEST buses, run by the city civic body's transport wing, were diverted. A high tide of over four metres is expected around noon in the Arabian Sea.

IMD issued a Red alert, indicating extremely heavy rains, for Mumbai and Thane.

With the rains in Mumbai comes the perennial water logging problem in several parts of the city. The waterlogged areas include Sion, Matunga, Antop Hill, Wadala, Chembur, Ghatkopar, Kurla and Mahim.
