Industrialist Anand Mahindra tweeted a nearly seven-minute video of the 'Temple of Tea Service' in Punjab's Amritsar on Sunday. Apart from the Golden Temple, the business magnate stated that there are numerous sites of interest to see in Amritsar, but this is the one spot he will surely visit the next time he is in the city of Punjab.

“There are many sights to see in Amritsar. But the next time I visit the city, apart from visiting the Golden Temple, I will make it a point to visit this ‘Temple of Tea Service’ that Baba has apparently run for over 40 years. Our hearts are potentially the largest temples. #Sunday,” tweeted Mahindra, posting the video.

The video, shot by Amritsar Walking Tours, tells the story of an elderly tea seller Ajit Singh, also known as Baba.

This man is well-known for providing free tea to all visitors and passers-by. He does not expect money from anyone; in fact, those who visit him offer him money based on their wishes. He has been serving tea at a stand for almost four decades. The tea stall is set beneath a huge banyan tree.

One of Ajit Singh's clients claims in the video that money is not a worry for Singh and that the tea vendor works really hard.

Baba's customer affirms that the tea vendor is quite charitable. Even though his utensils are frequently stolen, he never complains and continues to work from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. every day. The customer adds that Ajit sees serving tea as some sort of seva or service and money is not his main concern.

Many social media users stated that they will visit the "Babaji" tea stall when they visit Amritsar after billionaire Anand Mahindra tweeted the video.
