Elon Musk, Twitter’s new CEO, recently asked his Twitter followers which social media platform was better between Instagram and Twitter.
The SpaceX boss tweeted, "Instagram makes people depressed & Twitter makes people angry. Which is better?" posing the question to his nearly 127 million followers.
It is well known that while Twitter is used for sharing ideas and catching up with news and trends around the world, Instagram is meant for sharing your best photos and videos with your followers, as well as interacting and engaging with influencers. Instagram might be more visual than Twitter, but Twitter allows users to share posts and spread the word faster. However, Twitter gives companies a better way to interact directly with customers than Instagram.
The second richest billionaire’s question left netizens in a fix and they replied with insightful and witty responses.
‘Twitter is better’ was the overwhelming opinion.
Musk agreed with a Twitter user that the micro-blogging platform indeed makes him laugh a lot.
“LinkedIn makes you depressed”, quipped a user. Musk agrees.
“Authenticity is better than fake,” tweeted a user.
There were some curt responses as well.
In a nutshell, as a user tweeted, social media is just our own reflection.
