Kohli fangirl’s shockingly accurate prediction about his score, dismissal, reaction in 100th test goes viral
Star Indian batsman Virat Kohli fangirl’s absolutely startling prediction about the former Indian captain's score, dismissal mode, reaction after getting out, etc in his 100th test match has gone viral on Twitter.
Playing his 100th Test for India on Friday at the PCA Stadium in Mohali, Kohli once again failed to convert a good start into a century as he was dismissed for 45 against Sri Lanka.
The Delhi-born cricketer, who became the 12th Indian cricketer to feature in 100 Tests and 71st overall, last scored an international century way back in 2019. Fans have long been waiting for him to score his 71st international century.
Kohli shaped up to play another backfoot defensive push off left-arm spinner Lasith Embuldeniya but was done in by the sharp turn on the delivery.
However, almost 14 hours before his dismissal, a Twitter user going by the handle of @Quick_Single, almost in a Nostradamus-like fashion, had predicted that he would end up scoring 45 before being dismissed by Embuldeniya, a wicket that would leave him in disbelief, all of which that eventually came true.
The Indian cricket team fans were left totally dumbfounded as the Twitter user did not just accurately predict Kohli's score, but also foresaw his reaction to the dismissal, correctly predicting his look of shock towards the stumps and the pitch after getting out.
This was the rarest of rare sporting predictions to come true with such unerring precision. The only part where the fangirl got slightly wrong is that Kohli didn’t face 100 but 76 deliveries and struck 5 and not 4 boundaries in his innings. However, it was so shockingly precise that even former India opener Virender Sehwag was impressed by how precise the user was.
Cricket fans on Twitter went berserk over the tweet as it garnered over 25,000 likes and 12000 retweets.
