Vidya Balan says No More Kamzor

Every year on International Women’s Day ,one witnesses multiple discussions over various issues plaguing Indian women today, but rarely is there a solution offered to them. This year, STAR Plus will attempt to bring about the change people want to see around them with their new initiative - No More Kamzor. On Saturday, March 8th at 1.00 PM, Star Plus will recognize and honour women who refused to let society defeat their indomitable spirit and through their stories of triumph convey information that will empower many others like them.

Hosted by a lady who best represents today’s strong, powerful and successful achiever – Vidya Balan, ‘No More Kamzor’ is based on the concept of empowering women with information being used as a powerful tool. Vidya will be seen interacting with women achievers who dared to bring about a change and through their stories and experiences share information - guidelines, laws & helplines to create awareness and empower women. The show will be interspersed with issue-centric performances creatively presented by well-known artists like Lauren Gotleib, Sayantani Ghosh and Shakti Mohan amongst others.

Vidya Balan says No More Kamzor

Shakti Mohan: The graceful Shakti Mohan who is currently ruling millions of hearts as Kria in Channel V's Dil Dostii Dance will perform on few popular numbers and will have audiences spellbound with her mesmerizing performances. Shakti Mohan is a contemporary dancer and she was the winner of Zee TV's dance reality show Dance India Dance's season 2. Shakti had a brief appearance in the video for the title song of the movie Tees Maar Khan, and in the movie Rowdy Rathore starring Akshay Kumar. She has a main appearance in the item song "Aa Re Pritam Pyaare". Not only Shakti but her sisters Neeti Mohan and Mukti Mohan are also talented and are part of tinsel town. Another taleneted dancer Lauren Gotleib, who has proved her dancing skills through winning and participating on various dance reality shows also performed a strong act.

Bharti Singh who is better known for her comic timings will undoubtedly tickle the funny bone on the show and will share screen space with the host of the night, Vidya Balan. Bharti Singh is currently seen hosting Colors' talent show India's Got Talent along with VJ Andy of Bigg Boss 7 fame. Bharti through her act will convey a message on women empowerment in her own funny way. She will also interact with the women achievers along with Vidya. Bharti is a good example of being a women achiever as she has carved a niche for herself in the TV industry in a very short span of time.

Sayantani Ghosh: The dusky beauty Sayantani Ghosh, who has acted in various shows like Ghar Ek Sapna, Meri Maa, Kumkum, etc and last seen in Mahabharat, gave a heart wrenching performance on 'No More Kamzor'. We are sure her act must have brought tears in everyone's eyes. On the occasion of International Women's Day, Star Plus is all geared to pay tribute to the brave and beautiful women of the nation with their new initiative, No more Kamzor. On the same, Vidya Balan stated, “When Star Plus approached me to be part of No More Kamzor, I didn't have to think twice because as a woman, this is very close to my heart. It is truly an honor for me to be a part of this event which will inform, empower and inspire millions of women across our country. What better way to celebrate womanhood on Women’s day?!”
