Malayalam actress Aswathy Babu arrested in Kochi for peddling drugs

A Malayalam serial actress and her driver were arrested here on Sunday on charges of possession and sale of synthetic drugs. Aswathy Babu (22), a serial artist and model, and her driver, Binoy Abraham (38), a resident of Chingavanam in Kottayam, were arrested by Thrikkakara police from her flat at Kakkanad around 1.45pm. Police recovered around 5gm of MDMA — or ecstasy — (a recreational drug) from her. They were arrested in a raid conducted at her flat after residents informed police about night parties and sale of drugs.
