Filmmaker Vineeth and Four Others Accused of Sexual Assault by Transgender Woman in Chittoor

A transgender woman has accused filmmaker Vineeth and four others of sexual assault in Chittoor. The complaint alleges that Vineeth, who had initially invited the victim to discuss a film scene, instead attacked her. According to the allegations, Vineeth tied her to a tree and raped her, while his associates also assaulted her. The victim filed a complaint on August 13, but faced initial resistance from the police. This case comes in the wake of the Justice Hema Committee report, which exposed widespread exploitation in the Malayalam film industry and has led to a surge of sexual abuse allegations within the industry.
