Javed Akhtar comes in support of Bollywood amid ongoing drug row, calls them extremely professional and responsible

Veteran writer and lyricist Javed Akhtar has recently backed the Hindi film industry caught in a controversy after the Narcotics Control Bureau opened an investigation into its alleged connections to drug trade and consumption. According to him, the people in Bollywood are extremely professional and responsible. He further added that he has personally never done drugs in his life but used to drink a lot during his younger days. Further talking about the ongoing Bollywood drug row, Akhtar said that the actors of today’s generation are fitness freaks, unlike the stars of yesteryear who were not obsessed with their physical fitness.
