Fardeen Khan on his father's death, losing twins and all the reasons that kept him away from silver screen

Bollywood actor Fardeen Khan recently opened up about the reasons that kept him away from the silver screen for more than a decade. Although Fardeen's last film was 'Dulha Mil Gaya', which also had Sushmita Sen and got released in 2010, the actor admits that his father Feroz Khan's death due to lung cancer in 2009 broke him and post that event he went through a lot. Recently, during an interview with a leading daily, Fardeen recalled the tough phase including a health scare, his wife's IVF process and losing twins. Talking about his late father and actor Feroz Khan's death, Fardeen said, 'After my father passed, I needed some time off. I went through a tough time. I had a little bit of a health scare myself in 2009 just a few months after his death. Then we were very keen to have a family, Natasha and I. We had challenges having children so we had to go down the IVF route.' His wife Natasha's health and wanting to start a family were the reasons why Fardeen decided to move to London. The actor further said, 'We had a bad experience with doctors here in Mumbai and Natasha really suffered, it's very very hard on the body and your health. In 2011, we made a shift to London, we found a really really nice doctor there. In one of her initial pregnancies, we had twins, and she lost them at six months. So that was very very hard for us, it was a tough time. She had a live birth, and we lost the babies. We eventually had my daughter, she gave us a lot of joy. So when you go through something like that, you cherish life a lot more deeply, so when my daughter was born she just melted me.' Fardeen was able to think about a Bollywood comeback only after his son's birth in 2017. Fardeen, will soon be seen in 'Visfot', the Hindi adaptation of the 2012 movie 'Rock, Paper and Scissors' with Riteish Deshmukh, Priya Bapat and Krystle D'Souza.
