A three-day festival, “Bharat Natya Parv,” was organized at Sangeet Natak Akademi by the NISARGA Theater Group. The festival paid homage to the late drama educationist Padmashree Raj Bisaria, the founding director of Bharatendu Natya Academy, Lucknow.The play Kala Paani, written and directed by Lalit Singh Pokhariya, opened the first day of the festival. The play showcased the life and situation of unsung heroes who were captured from different parts of British India and then brought to the Kala Paani Jail in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
