Thoranayudham, which can be translated asThe Battle at the Entrance, is a Kathakali play or Aattakatha, authored by the renowned Malayali writer Kottarakara Thampuran, in Malayalam. The story is based on a tale from the holy book of Ramayana, and it narrates the events surrounding monkey god Hanuman's journey to Lanka, in order to locate Sreeraman’s wife Seetha and convey to her the message from her husband. A few days ago, a kathakali performance based on this much-loved tale was held at Changampuzha Park in the city of Kochi.
