Ramyakrishnan is unarguably one of the finest actors Indian cinema has ever produced. Besides an illustrious career in Indian cinema spanning over four decades, Ramyakrishnan had a brief stint in Telugu and Tamil TV. She is now all set to make her Telugu TV comeback with the supernatural thriller Naga Bhairavi soon. On this note, here's a quick look at a few lesser known facts of the accomplished actress.

Ramyakrishnan has always been a private person and its only after her Instagram debut, she has been sharing pictures with her family. Her mother Maaya, father Krishnan, sister Vinaya, hubby dearest Krishna Vamsi, son Ritwik mean the world to her.

Ramyakrishnan made her acting debut at the age of 13 and went onto feature in more than 200 films in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi. Though she made her debut in Tamil cinema, she first tasted success in Telugu cinema after nearly 7 years of her debut.

Ramyakrishnan made her debut in Hindi cinema with the 1993 film Parampara starring Sunil Dutt, Vinod Khanna, Aamir Khan, Raveena Tandon and others in the leads.

Subhash Ghai's Khalnayak, Mahesh Bhatt's Chaahat, David Dhawan's Banarasi Babu and Bade Miyan Chote Miyan along with Bollywood superstars Amitabh Bachchan and Govinda are some of her remarkable Hindi films during her brief stint in Bollywood.

She has appeared in many Tamil shows and tested her luck as a TV host with the chat show Zara Masti Zara Dhoom in which she hosted stalwarts like SS Rajamouli, Jr NTR and others.

Ramyakrishnan further hosted Bangaram Meekosam, a game show produced by Radhika Sarathkumar in 2008. The show was also hosted by Radhika Sarathkumar and others later. She earned criticism for her hosting skills and naysayers even termed her Telugu TV stint as 'unsuccessful'.

Ramyakrishnan grabbed the attention of the world with her noteworthy cameo in the third season of the reality TV series Bigg Boss Telugu. She hosted the show for a couple of episodes in the absence of Nagarjuna but left a lasting impact with it. She became the first lady BB host in the regional languages. Speculations are rife that she was approached to host season 4 in the brief absence of Nagarjuna Akkineni.

Ramyakrishnan is all set to make a strong comeback with the super thriller Naga Bhairavi on October 12. She will seen as Mahasadhvi, a key role in the fiction show. It remains to be seen if she will be seen active on the small screen.
