'Naatu Naatu' from SS Rajamouli's RRR movie has created history by winning the Golden Globe 2023 recently. The song composed by MM Keeravani was co-sung by Rahul Sipligunj, who got closer to the telly audiences with Bigg Boss Telugu season 3, along with singer-music composer Kaalabhairava. The Telugu, Kannada, Tamil and Hindi versions of the song was co-sung by Rahul Sipligunj. Rahul was on cloud nine with the remarkable accomplishment by the team. He has taken to his Instagram handle to share a heart-felt note about the song's unique feat. Calling it a 'historic moment for Indian cinema', Rahul thanked SS Rajamouli and composer MM Keeravani for their faith in him. First feelings when he was offered Naatu Naatu

Rahul Sipligunj has recently revealed that he was initially nervous when he was first offered Naatu Naatu for the film RRR. However, he added that his excitement got doubled when he learnt that the song will feature Ram Charan and Jr NTR together.

First meeting with Keeravani

In one of his old interviews, Rahul shared that he met Keeravani many years back with the CDs of his songs from the Telugu movies Snehithuda (2009) starring Nani and Josh (2009), which is also Nagachaitanya's debut film. Rahul added that Keeravani soon called him to his studio and offered him a chorus opportunity in one of his albums.

Biggest compliment from Keeravani

Keeravani reportedly heard Rahul's music single 'Poor Boy' (2016) on loop and appreciated the composition with a Sufi touch and slice of life lyrics in a typical Telangana accent. Rahul considered it as his biggest compliment in life.

From being hairdresser to winning Golden Globe

To the unaware, Rahul hails from the family of hairdressers. He started singing at a young age at family events with the encouragement of his father. Rahul slowly focused on formal training in Ghazals and Hindustani music.
