From Devayani to VJ Chitra: Tamil TV actresses we majorly miss

Tamil TV has a long list of actresses who stunned the viewers with their acting prowess. Their girl-next-door look, realistic acting, slice-of-life characters, there were many aspects to boast about. However, some of the versatile actresses are currently away from the industry and their absence is much evident too. Here are some of the actresses we miss from Tamil TV.

Radhika Sarathkumar

The popular show Chithi 1 and 2 ran for a good 22 years between 1999 to 2020. The show catapulted many actors to fame and made them a household name. The show was laced with over-the-top drama and conflicts in the family. Something we might find very hard to relate to now.

VJ-turned-actress Chitra, aged 28, of Pandian Stores fame, died by suicide on December 9, 2022. Her performance in the show grabbed the attendance of the Tamil telly audience.
