Bigg Boss Tamil 5, Grand Finale highlights: From Raju Jeyamohan winning the title to Sivakarthikeyan's entry, major events at a glance

Bigg Boss Tamil Hosted by Kamal Haasan, it came to an end yesterday (January 16). The makers of the show were keen to conclude the season on a high note. But due to the COVID restrictions in the state, many events were called off. In fact, the makers faced a lot of challenges in keeping the show alive amidst the COVID situations. Yet, the finalists, contestants, and their families had a gala time at the grand finale.

Host Kamal Haasan made his entry to the stage amidst a spectacular light show. He was dressed in a latex black and blue jacket. Following his entry, all the evicted contestants entered the grand finale arena for a dashing performance of chartbuster songs. Actor Varun Kamal made his entry with a dance performance of a song from his upcoming debut movie.

Kamal Haasan always gifts the finalists of every season with personal gifts for each finalist. Even in this grand finale, Kamal gifted all the finalists. He gave Amir a pair of shoes, since he is a choreographer, Pavani a golden watch, and Niroop a hat.

Kamal gifted Raju a pen, as he is an aspiring screenplay writer, and Priyanka a golden microphone, since she is a VJ.

‘Athu Ithu Yethu’ fame Nanjil Vijayan and the Kpy Bala team performed a parody of BB House, impersonating the housemates of the season. While Nanjil Vijayan impersonated Thamaraiselvi, KPY Bala impersonated Niroop.

Kamal sent a team of dancers inside the BB house. The dancers took the finalists around the house with grooves. Finally, in at the end of their performance, they brought Niroop outside the house. He ended up as the fifth finalist of the season and was the first finalist to get evicted.

Later, Amir was also brought out of the house. He ended his race as the fourth finalist of the season.

Kamal called actor Sivakarthikeyan on the stage to unveil the logo of Bigg Boss Ultimate, a 24x7 live streaming OTT show to be launched soon. Kamal also made an announcement about his upcoming movie production, in which Sivakarthikeyan will be playing a leading role.

A motorcycle was sent inside the BB house, to bring the third evicted contestant of the day. Pavani Reddy was brought in, and Kamal declared her the second runner-up of the season.

Finally, it was Priyanka and Raju who survived in the house till the end. Kamal walked into the house, took photographs of the two and brought them out. Based on the people's votes, Raju was announced as the winner of the season. Priyanka ended up as the runner-up.

Raju thanked all the technicians, especially those who did his AV videos for him in the pre-finale celebrations, as he started his career as a scriptwriter of a reality show.
