​Ashalata Wabgaokar

2020 had left us with a bunch of painful dents. Veteran Marathi actress Ashalata Wabgaokar fell prey to the deadly coronavirus and passed away on September 22nd. Ashalata Wabgaokar had played many pivotal roles in Marathi, Hindi films, and on TV. The actress is known for her performances in Maherchi Sadi, Gammat Jammat, and One room Kitchen. She was shooting for the famous Marathi TV soap Aai Mazi Kalubai while she breathed her last. (PC - Instagram)

​Ashutosh Bhakre

The death of Ashutosh Bhakre was a shocker for the entire Marathi entertainment industry. The actor who died by suicide was reportedly undergoing depression. He is prominently known for his roles in Marathi films like Bhakar and Ichar Tharla Pakka. He was married to popular Marathi Television Actress Mayuri Deshmukh for four years. (PC - Instagram)

​Kamal Thoke

Laagira Zala Ji fame and veteran Marathi actress Kamal Thoke won the hearts of the audience in a very short period. The actress, who was suffering from health issues since the last few months, died at the age of 74. Reportedly, the actress was fighting cancer and died in a hospital in Banglore. (PC - Instagram)

​Jairam Kulkarni

Marathi TV and film actor Jairam Kulkarni breathed his last in March 2020. The veteran actor died due to old age-related ailments in Pune. He was 88 years old. Reportedly, the actor was fit and fine a few months before he passed away. On the work front, he was also an essential part of successful Marathi films like Banva Banvi and Thartharat. ​Chandrakant Gokhale

The veteran actor Chandrakant Gokhale, the father of Vikram Gokhale, passed away on June 20th, 2020. Chandrakant Gokhale was suffering from a prolonged illness and breathed his last in a hospital. He is known for his performances in the films like Sadhi Manse,Suhaag Raat, Rao Saheb, Hiraasat, and Loafer. Worst to here are those young die either due to illness or those cases suicide due to depressions .It speaks voulmes about our illiterate state as far as personal health is concerned .Add the nation is full of hurdles for common person and many lose hope .Our leaders and bureaucrats makes us feel death is better than living in this rot
