From Aniket Vishwasrao to Aavishkar Darwhekar: Marathi actors who got mired in controversies

For any actor landing into controversies is one of the most challenging phases. Whether it is a Bollywood celebrity or a celebrity from the regional cinema, controversy is always a make-or-break deal in an actor's career. In the Marathi industry, too, many actors made headlines for various serious reasons. Right from domestic violence cases to getting arrested; these actors have grabbed many eyeballs and put themselves under some severe scrutiny.

Popular Marathi TV and film actor Aniket Vishwasrao recently landed in a controversy when his wife and actress Sneha Chavan filed a domestic violence case against him and his parents. Sneha lodged the complaint in the Pune police station alleging that Aniket and his family assaulted her in the house and tried to choke her. Aniket and Sneha, who were known as one of the ideal couples of the industry, shocked their fans with the recent turn of events.

Popular Marathi film actor and Bigg Boss Marathi season 3 fame Aavishkar Darwhekar tied the knot with actress Sneha Wagh a few years ago. Sneha later divorced Aavishkar by putting shocking allegations. Sneha separated from Aavishkar and alleged that he physically assaulted her. The ex-couple recently entered the house of Bigg Boss Marathi 3 and got shocked after seeing each other. Inside the house, Sneha often talked about her married life with Aavishkar but host Mahesh Manjrekar asked her not to discuss personal life issues. Aavishkar got evicted from the show recently.

Bigg Boss Marathi 2 fame Heena Panchal got arrested at a farmhouse in Igatpuri after Nashik police busted a rave party. Reportedly, 22 people, including Heena and 11 other women, were also arrested, and several types of drugs were also seized from their possession. Marathi actress Kranti Redkar got into a controversy recently due to her husband and NCB officer Sameer Wankhede. Sameer, who was handling the drug probe cases of SRK's son Aryan Khan and other Bollywood celebrities, made headlines after the minister of Maharashtra Nawab Malik reportedly brought extortion allegations against him. Ajunahi Barsat Aahe actor Umesh Kamat's name was recently dragged in Raj Kundra's porn case controversy. Due to a major confusion made by many media portals, his pictures and photos got published as Raj Kundra's associate. Pune police have arrested Marathi TV actress Sara Shrawan in connection with a Rs 15 lakh extortion case filed by a Marathi actor. Along with Sara, four others were reportedly involved in the case. Sara got arrested in 2019 and later got bailed. (PC - Instagram)
