Popular Marathi TV show 'Tu Tevha Tashi' recently completed 100 episodes. The cast of the show has received much love from the viewers for their performances and one of them is actor Vikas Verma, who has prominent work in Hindi and Marathi television to his credit. About his character 'Hiten'

When I was offered the role of 'Hiten' in a Marathi TV show, I immediately said YES. I was born and brought up in Mumbai and my entire family belongs here. Playing a Marathi TV show is a special thing for me. My character Hiten is a Gujarati guy who speaks Marathi with a Gujarati dialect. I am fluent in Marathi but for the character, I had to speak Marathi with a Gujarati accent. It was challenging yet fun.

'It's my privilege to work with Swwapnil Joshi and Shilpa Tulaskar'

I feel really blessed that my first TV show in Marathi is with Swwapnil Joshi and Shilpa Tulaskar. They both are really fabulous. Despite being seniors, they make us all comfortable. Now, we have completed 100 episodes but not even once have I seen Swwapnil Joshi showing tantrums on the set. I have seen him since Ramayan and I was excited to work with him. There are many things to learn from such actors.

On working with Roomani Khare

Vikas' most of the scenes are with actress Roomani Khare and talking about his bond with her, Vikas said, "Roomani is a really nice co-star. She is studying now and still working hard every day with much dedication. I really have a nice bond with her both off-screen and on-screen.

Sharing his observation on the difference between Hindi and Marathi TV industries

I have worked in Hindi and Marathi TV industries. I have played various roles in Hindi but I have felt more comfort and affection on the sets of the Marathi show. In Hindi, people do their work and leave but in Marathi, actors move friendly with each other and treat you like family. There is a special bond and atmosphere on the sets. People are more friendly and respectful towards each other here.

Being a Marwari, Vikas Verma wins hearts of the Marathi audiences

I feel blessed to have managed to win the hearts of Marathi audience in a short period of time. I am a Marwari but have grown up in Maharashtra. I consider myself as a Maharashtrian. This is my Janma Bhumi and Karma Bhumi and I want the end of my life here only. I was waiting to do a Marathi TV show because I always loved being around Marathi people. My character Hiten helped me reach the households of Maharashtra. I get so many messages from various parts of Maharashtra about my work and it makes me so happy.
