Exclusive: Shubhangi Sadarvarte to Soham Bandekar; Nave Lakshya actors share their experience of playing cops on-screen

New show 'Nave Lakshya' is winning the hearts of the audience since its launch. In an exclusive chat with Etimes TV, the entire team of Nave Lakshya revealed their experience of working in the show, their preparations to play cops on-screen, and much more.

Interview by - Vaishnavi Gavankar

Satish Rajwade - Programming head

"We are proud to portray the story of our respectful and dedicated police officers and their department. Nave Lakshya will show the audience what it takes to be courageous, what it takes to be smart, and how you have to stay alert every time. After watching the show, you will realize that the Maharashtra Police Department is standing firmly behind you like brothers and sisters.

3/7

Amol Dolawat

I am playing the character of ACP Arjun Karandikar in the show. I am non-Maharashtrian, but I have got cast in the film for a special reason. This is my first ever Marathi TV show. It's a new industry for me, and I am working on my language more. My co-star, Uday Sabnis sir, helps me a lot and, yes, trying my best to perform on-screen.

4/7

Uday Sabnis

I am playing a head constable. While playing the character of a cop, you need to have mental preparation. During the lockdown, we all have seen the efforts of police officers. There is a special preparation, and here in the show, we are going to showcase the tracks of police officers' families, like how their families have gone through all these, how a cop behaves at home, and much more.

5/7

Abhijeet Shwetchandra

I am playing the character of Vikrant Gaikwad. When the character of the sketch came to me, then we all worked on small things. We all had attended a workshop where we all learned how to salute like a cop, stand like a cop, and behave like a dedicated police officer. We got to know about how a cop went through a mental process, and still, he performs his duty, and that's what we want to showcase on-screen.

6/7

Shubhangi Sadavarte

I am playing the character PI Mokshada Mohite. Mokshada is a woman who has a lawyer father. She can not tolerate harassment again women, and that's why criminals are scared of her. I am glad that I got the opportunity to play a women police officer on-screen.

7/7

Soham Bandekar

I basically work on my acting, and later I came to know the characterization. I used to study how I would have done a particular scene by seeing other actors perform, so I basically focus on that. This golden opportunity of my acting debut has now come with 'Nave Lakshya'. I am playing PSI Jay Suvarna Dixit and am working on giving my best to it. Jay loves his mother very much, and that is why he uses his mother's name as a middle name. Even in real life, my mother is very close to me. I was able to accept this challenge because of the strong support of both of my parents. Over the past year, I have put much effort into my fitness. I am using my fitness to develop Jay's personality.
