Dnyanesh Mane to Aanand Abhyankar, Marathi TV actors who died in tragic accidents

Road accidents are one of the leading reasons for deaths across the world. Like commoners, many celebrities and personalities too have lost their lives to accidents, leaving their fans shocked and in grief. A list of Marathi TV actors whom we tragically lost in these accidents. (PC - Instagram)

Marathi TV actor Dnyanesh Mane, who has featured in various TV shows and films, died in a car accident while traveling to Pune. The actor was driving his car to Pune from the ghats of Roti and met with an accident while taking a turn from the corners of the ghat. Dnyanesh was unconscious when he was found by a few passers-by. The passers-by admitted Dnyanesh to the nearest Sassoon hospital in Pune but unfortunately, he did not survive and breathed his last. Dnyanesh is known for playing a pivotal role in the TV show Lagira Zala Ji. (PC - Instagram)

Marathi actress Ishwari Deshpande, who has worked in TV serials, theater and primarily in Marathi films died in a car accident in Goa last year in September. The 25-year-old actress was traveling with her friend Shubham Dadge who also died in the accident. According to reports, the accident took place near Hadfade village, Goa when Ishwari’s car dropped into Baga Creek. The reports also suggest that Ishwari and Shubham couldn't get out of the car as it was locked and they passed away due to drowning. (PC - Instagram)

Popular Marathi actor Praful Bhalerao, 22, was killed in a train accident in January 2018. The actor was traveling via Mumbai local train from Malad to Goregaon and reportedly he was leaning out at the entrance and lost his grip once the train gained its speed and fell down from the train. Praful's body was found on the tracks and the police declared it as an accidental death. Praful was a well-known TV and film actor and has featured in many popular TV shows like Kunku, Tu Majha Sangati, etc. (PC - Instagram)

Veteran actor Anand Abhyankar, 58, died in a car accident and left everyone shocked in December 2012. Anand was traveling from Mumbai-Pune Expressway and suddenly a rashly driven tempo on the lane climbed on the road divider and rammed into his car which was coming from the opposite lane. Anand got seriously injured in the accident and succumbed after a couple of hours in the nearest hospital. (PC - Instagram)

A popular TV actor Akshay Pendse, 35, who was also traveling with Anand Abhyankar in the same car also died in the car accident of Mumbai Pune Expressway in the year 2012. Anand Abhyankar, Akshay Pendse, his wife Deepti, and his 2-year-old son were traveling to Mumbai from Pune after their successful drama. Along with Akshay, his two-year-old son Pratyush Pendse also succumbed after a couple of hours after the accident. Pendse's wife Deepti, who was also in the same vehicle, sustained minor injuries and was discharged later. (PC - Instagram)
