Lion King to Thobama: Popular movies set for TV premiere this month

Malayalam TV channels are trying their best to keep fans entertained ever since lockdown was announced. From new serials to re-run of evergreen shows, TV channels have some engaging content up their sleeves.
Now, some popular films are lined up for their TV premiere which will help fans to beat the lockdown blues.
The photorealistic computer-animated remake of the popular 1994 animated film, 'The Lion King' is a major attraction in the lot.The Hollywood hit movie journeys to the African savanna where a future king is born. The movie will have its world premiere on July 26.

Malayalam comedy-drama 'Thobama' starring Sharaf U Dheen, Krishna Shankar, and Siju Wilson is set to premiere on Sunday (July 19).
Tamil superstar Rajinikanth’s recent blockbuster 'Darbar' is yet another much-anticipated movie in the list. Besides Rajinikanth, the movie stars Nayanthara, Nivetha Thomas and others in the star cast.

Critically-acclaimed Malayalam film 'Moothon' will also have its television premiere soon. The action thriller film written and directed by Geetu Mohandas has Nivin Pauly, Shashank Arora, Sanjana Dipu and Roshan Mathew playing the leads.

Besides the movie premieres, Malayalam TV has launched some brand new shows lately. 'Ammayariyathe', 'Karthikadeepam','Namukku Paarkkuvan Munthirithoppukal' and 'Aksharathettu' are some of the popular shows that were launched recently.
