Bigg Boss Malayalam 5 Confirmed contestants, commoner entry for the first time: Here's all you need to know about Mohanlal-hosted show

Just a day ahead of the much-awaited premiere of Bigg Boss Malayalam 5. Fans are eagerly waiting for the grand launch and the buzz is on top. Ahead of the premiere, here is all you should know about the show.

None other than superstar Mohanlal will be hosting this year's Bigg Boss Malayalam. The actor, who is busy with the shoots of his upcoming movie 'Malaikottai Vaaliban' has already reached Mumbai for the TV show. Just like in the former season, the ace actor is expected to flaunt his fashion avatars in Bigg Boss 5 too.

The theme of this season is 'Battle of Originals'. As the tagline says, the show will be welcoming contestants who have created a huge impact among people with their originality.

Bigg Boss Malayalam 5 set is located in Mukthi Bandhan, Goregaon Film City Mumbai. As per reports, the former set of Bigg Boss Marathi is renovated for the Malayalam season.

This time also, Bigg Boss Malayalam house will be a visual treat for the viewers. Designed by art director Omung Kumar, the mansion is expected to be designed under the theme 'Battle of Originals'.

Just like the former season, Bigg Boss Malayalam 5 will also have 24-hour LIVE streaming on OTT. This time, viewers can witness the daily happenings inside the house which don't get into the routine episodes.

Bigg Boss Malayalam 5 is expected to welcome 18 contestants this time. Celebrities from the television, and movie industries as well as social media can be seen as participants. Entreupernir Sobha Viswanath, actor Sagar Surya, wushu chamoion Aniyan Midhun are sure to enter the show.

For the first time in the history of Bigg Boss Malayalam, a commoner will be entering the show as a contestant. As per the updates, a young lady from Idukki, named Gopika Gopi, has qualified for the show after a public audition.

Following the much-known format, the contestants will be locked inside a house for 100 days, surrounded by 60 cameras. They will not be having any connection to the outer world. There will not be any mobile phones, calendars, or clocks inside the house.
