had generated considerable curiosity. The cast, too was rather upbeat because it was being pitched as a Quantico-like show.

But now, word comes in that all is not well on the show. Feelings of dissatisfaction and being let down simmers amid the members of the leading cast more specifically the lead actors. “The script given to Pratham, Bhuvan and Sanjana had its focus only on them. Now, the cast claims that a new character — that of an antagonist — who was not mentioned in the original script has been introduced. According to them, this character occupies most of the screen time, so the cast feels upstaged by him. They are of the opinion that he’s being given a lot of close-ups along with a separate background score, thus giving him a lot of unwarranted attention,” discloses a source from the set. While the names behind the show say that this antagonist will soon be out of the picture, sources share that he has already featured in major episodes out of the scheduled 24. “Hence, the cast feels that he has already occupied more than half of the soap and has created quite an impact on the audience with his glorified presence. They are of the opinion that they are mere props in the background,” says the source.

When broached about the issue, Shruthi tells BT that she is merely going by the instructions of the channel which is airing the show. “It is they who provide us with the story and screenplay and we are only following it,” she says.
