From Swetha Chengappa to Rashmi Prabhakar: Kannada celebs who tested positive for Covid-19

Amid the second wave of Coronavirus looming over the state, a few Kannada celebs have also been infected with the virus in the recent past. Many celebs from the tinsel town have taken to social media platforms to announce that they have isolated at home after testing positive for the virus. From Swetha Chengappa to Rashmi Prabhakar, here is a list of a few Kannada TV celebs who tested positive for Covid-19 lately.

Actress Swetha Chengappa, who is also the mother of a toddler, revealed on her Instagram handle that she has tested positive for COVID-19. The actress is currently quarantined at home and will not be making her appearance in a few upcoming episodes of Majaa Talkies.

Following Swetha's announcement of being positive for Coronavirus, Rekha Mohan, who is fondly known as 'Remo' of Majaa Talkies, also took to her Instagram handle to inform that she has tested Covid-19 positive. She requested everyone who in close contact with her to get tested.

Ginirama actress Nayana Nagaraj has also tested positive for COVID-19. Sharing the news on her social media page, Nayana wrote, “Hello everyone! I have tested positive for COVID 19! And have started medication and have self-isolated! I have almost all of the symptoms! Please do take care of yourselves and get tested If you have come in contact with me. (sic)”

Shalini has tested positive for Coronavirus last week and is currently in home quarantine. The actress reported symptoms like suffering from fever, breathlessness, and losing the sense of smell and taste. Shanili's husband, Anil has also tested positive after her.

Prathama on April 23 shared that she had tested positive for Coronavirus. The actress on her Instagram handle wrote, "Despite being extremely cautious, I have been tested positive for Covid-19. I have been suffering from fever, cold, cough, body, loss of smell, taste, and exhaustion. I have isolated myself ever since I developed mild symptoms and come in contact with anyone. I have great hands taking care of me. This situation should not be taken lightly by anyone. Trust me the suffering is hell. Please be careful, take good care of yourself, and stay safe (sic)”

Although Ashita did not make a clear announcement on testing positive for Coronavirus, the latest Instagram post gives a hint that she had also contracted the virus in recent days. The actress gave detailed information on how the deadly virus can affect the body's metabolism completely in her post.

A day after Prathama, Rashmi, who is yet another actress from the sets of Manasella Neene revealed that she has contracted the virus. The actress is under self-isolation for a week now. That's not all, Rashmi's father and sister have also tested positive.
