Quick recap of Bigg Boss Kannada 8

It has just been a few days since Bigg Boss Kannada season 8 concluded its journey on Kannada television. Although the reality show concluded its journey mid-way following the norms of the ongoing Karnataka lockdown due to the increase in the number of COVID-19 cases in the state, Bigg Boss Kannada season 8 has definitely left an impression among the viewers. Here is a quick recap of the season.

2/12

Grand Premiere

Bigg Boss Kannada season eight started its journey on February 2nd. The season premiere turned out to be a successful one. Host Kiccha Sudeep welcomed 17 celebs from different walks of life, who entered the glasshouse as contestants.

3/12

Verbal spats

Equations changed among the housemates with each passing day. From Nirmala Chenappa and Chandrakala Mohan's fight for kitchen authority to the Prashanth Sambargi taking a jibe at Divya Uruduga-Aravind KP's possible relationship, the show has indeed witnessed quite some ugly spats among the contestants.

4/12

Link-ups

Just like the previous seasons, the ongoing season of Bigg Boss Kannada has also seen a few link-ups. Manju Pavagad-Divya Suresh to Aravind KP-Divya Uruduga, the growing friendship of these couples has become the hot topic of the glasshouse.

5/12

Wild card entries

Eventually, the reality show welcomed three wild card entrants in between. Journalist Chakravarthy Chandrachud, actresses Vyjayanthi Adiga and Priyanka Thimmesh made a surprise entry inside the glasshouse as the fierce wild card entrants.

6/12

Celebrations

Festival celebrations were rife inside the Bigg Boss house this season. The contestants had the privilege to celebrate festivals like Ugadi and Holi during their stay inside the glasshouse.

7/12

Vyjayanthi Adiga's decision to quit

Wild card entrant Vyjayanthi Adiga decided to walk out of the show mid-way. Although it had just been three days since Vyjayanthi entered the show as the wild card entrant, the actress quit the show as she was missing her family members and her fiance. Vyjayanthi also mentioned that she had a different expectation over entering the Bigg Boss house as a wild card contestant.

8/12

Rajeev's shocking eviction

Amidst all the evictions of the season, Rajeev's eviction turned out to be a shocker for everyone. His eviction left the housemates in a shell shocked. The actor, who was considered one of the strongest contestants of the season, got evicted on the fifty-seventh day. Although the latter had the superpower to save himself from nominations by using the 'Golden pass', he refused to use it.

9/12

No female captains

Bigg Boss Kannada season 8, unfortunately, did not witness any female contestants taking over the captaincy inside the glasshouse. While they did give a tough competition, they failed to win against their opponents in the captaincy contender tasks. Hence, none of the female contestants could become a captain of the season.

10/12

Show without the host

For the first time in the history of Bigg Boss Kannada, Sudeep was not been able to shoot for the weekend episode due to illness and the ongoing Karnataka lockdown. However, his presence in the weekend episode of Bigg Boss Kannada season 8 was much missed.

11/12

The abrupt end

Bigg Boss Kannada season 8 concluded its journey on Kannada television mid-way. The reality show had a successful run of seventy-one days. The makers of Bigg Boss Kannada decided to suspend the eighth edition of the reality show mid-way due to the ongoing crisis in the state due to the rage in the Coronavirus cases. This decision was taken after K Shivkumar, the chairperson of the Kannada TV association announced that the shooting for TV serials and reality shows will remain stalled until May 24 in the wake of the lockdown imposed by the Karnataka government.

12/12

An emotional adieu

Emotions started gushing when the contestants were asked to exit the house one after the other. Starting from the wild card entrant Priyanka Thimmesh to the chirpy actress Shubha Poonja, everyone exited the Bigg Boss house with a heavy heart.
