From Dhanush to Sanjana Burli: Puttakkana Makkalu actors who are highly qualified

Puttakkana Makkalu has turned out to be one of the most-watched daily soaps on Kannada TV. The actors of the show have managed to make a special space in the hearts of the viewers and enjoy an enormous fanbase. Besides showcasing family values and bonds, the daily soap also highlights the challenges of literacy. Ace actress Umashree has managed to strike an emotional chord with the viewers for her performance as Puttakka. She plays the titular role in the show and owns a small eatery in the village to look after the house and her daughter's studies. However, the independent naive mother of the show reportedly holds a master's degree in Arts from the Karnataka state open university.

One of the leading ladies of Puttakkana Makkalu, Sanjana Burli, was still pursuing her Engineering in Medical Electronics when she started to shoot for the daily soap. However, the actress has now graduated with flying colors and holds an engineering degree. Just like her on-screen character Sneha, Sanjana too aspires to become an IAS officer in real life as well.

Puttakkana Makkalu's Kanti aka Dhanush has indeed turned out to be one of the mass actors on the small screens. He might play the lead role of a rugged uneducated lad in Puttakkana Makkalu, But not many know that Dhanush has completed his engineering. He joins the list of actors who are engineer graduates. Puttakkana Makkalu marks the debut of actor Dhanush.

Fondly known as Murali Meshtru in Puttakkanna Makkalu, Pavan is currently pursuing his interest in Chartered Financial analyst. However, he had also completed his diploma in Computer science.

Unlike her on-screen character, Sahana, who has hardly gone to school for studies, Akshara in her real life holds a Master's degree in Business Administration. The young actress has completed MBA in Finance.

The youngest daughter of Puttakka is a fashion designer in real life. The actress followed her interest in fashion even before becoming an actress. Shilpa portrays the character, Suma, in the daily soap.

Kowshik essays the role of Purshi in the show. While he plays a role of a college-going boy in Puttakkana Makkalu, Kowshik, has studied 'mould manufacturing' and also worked in one of the reputed companies before becoming an actor.

Deepashree is the latest celeb to join the cast of Puttakkana Makkalu. The actress replaced Soumya and has stepped in to play the character, Vasu, in the show. However, not many know that Deepa is a Civil Engineer by profession.

Nandish, who plays the role of an advocate in Puttakkana Makkalu, has a diploma in Medical lab technician. He even practiced the same before becoming a full-fledged actor.
