The people of Sira are close to my heart, which made me contest elections to serve the people. I have sought a ticket from all three major political parties. If I fail to get a ticket, I have decided to contest independently. It is not that without the power we cannot serve people. If we are elected representatives, it takes us closer to the government and we can reach out to larger section of people in solving problems like drinking water and good roads, which are plaguing the people of Sira. I have been visiting Sira to interact with the people who are very warm. They have expressed their support to me in the elections.”
On the career front, Divakar has wrapped up shooting for Gulal.com which is his second outing as a hero. “At this juncture I can’t say that I will quit acting to concentrate on politics. I will continue to balance both,” he signs off
