#YoSonakshiSoDumb: Sonakshi Sinha’s general knowledge shocks Big B; gets trolled on social media

Sonakshi Sinha came on Kaun Banega Crorepati last night’s (September 20) Karamveer episode. She was there to help Barmer artisan Ruma Devi. But while Big B was amazed to see and hear Ruma Devi’s inspiring story, he was equally shocked and visibly appalled to see actress Sonakshi Sinha’s knowledge. She got brutally trolled for failing to answer a question on Ramayana but that was not the only time when her GK got judged. Take a look.

During the game, Sonakshi and Ruma Devi face the question: According to Ramayana, Hanuman fetched the Sanjeevani herb for whom? Options are – Surgriva, Lakshman, Sita and Ram. Sonakshi and Ruma Devi think it was Sita and then guesses Ram. Sonakshi looked very confident and wanted to go for Sita but takes an expert opinion.

The expert too mentioned that this question is one of the easiest questions even though if someone doesn’t have the knowledge of Ramayana in entirety. Later, Big B goes tight-lipped and tells her – “Your father’s name is Shatrughan Sinha, your brothers' names are Luv and Kush and your uncles' names are Lakshman, Bharat and Ram. Even the bungalow you live in is named Ramayana. You didn’t know Lakshman k liye laye the jaari booti?”

Big B turns to Sonakshi’s mother and tells her, “Pranam kar rahe hai, Please don’t show this to Shatrughan bhai. Wherever he is rallying right now, he will leave politics and come now."

The actress realises the big blunder and tells that she knew the answer but got confused. She says, “Aap logo ne soch liye hai, mujhe ghar jaake pitwake rahenge. My entry in Ramayana will be banned now.”

Twitteratti is making memes and fun of her because she not only has a family named after the mythological characters but also lives in a bungalow that is named Ramayana. And yet she failed to answer it. Not only this, they are also comparing her to Alia Bhatt, who had once earned the title of being the dumbest actress. Alia had failed to name the President of India.

Before the Ramayana question, Sonakshi fails to identify a commonly used vegetable Ker Sangri, which is also known as Green beans. But fortunately, Ruma Devi knew the answer and confidently answers. Big B scolds Sonakshi when she is unable to tell what Ker Sangri is. Sonakshi tells him that her mother will scold her at home. She has never been to the kitchen. Big B asks Poonam why she didn’t teach Sonakshi about vegetables. They have a hearty laugh.

Sonakshi uses use lifeline for a question that was – Which of these Mughal rulers was a contemporary of Maharana Pratap – Babur, Aurangazeb was a contemporary of Maharana Pratap? Options were Babur, Aurangzeb, Bahadur Shah Zafar and Akbar. Sonakshi thinks its Aurangzeb. Before flipping the question they are asked to answer. Ruma Devi tells she thinks its Akbar and it was the correct answer. Big B taunts Sonakshi and asks Poonam ji to refresh her daughter’s memory. Poonam tells she played the role of Akbar’s mother in Jodha Akbar and there was a character of Maharana Pratap.

Sonakshi chooses Science and Technology as the subject and Big B again mocks her for choosing the subject. The question comes – With which of these are non-stick cooking utensils are coated? Big B takes a pause and tells, “Aur choose karo science and technology. Audiences laugh with him. Sonakshi confidently answers Teflon. Sonakshi stands up and asks who all were laughing. Big B says he wasn’t making fun but appreciating her knowledge.
