Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai update, October 31: Aarohi meets with a fatal accident

A disturbing turn of events happens in today's episode of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai as a group of invaders plot to plunder the house while it appears to be unoccupied. Their preparations are thwarted when Aarohi's phone begins to ring, causing them to try to grab it. Shivu contacts Aarohi's phone and inquires about her and Akshara. Overhearing this talk, the intruders became concerned because they had initially assumed the place was vacant.One of them, however, devises a nefarious plan to kidnap Akshara.
Akshara starts looking for Aarohi, who immediately calls Manish on a landline to inform him about the invaders. However, one of the attackers breaks the phone cord before Aarohi can expose their identity. To protect herself and Akshara, Aarohi tells Akshara to stay away and lock herself in her room. Concerned for Aarohi, Akshara ignores her counsel and rushes to her rescue, only to discover the invaders are armed with a knife. She tries to disarm him, but he overwhelms both of them.

The retreat staff exposes his purpose for pursuing them. He was fired as a result of their complaint. As he tries to take Akshara with him, she begins coughing excessively. Aarohi begs the visitor to give Akshara water, and when she does, Akshara shatters the glass to use as a weapon. Aarohi joins the fight.
The situation is under control by the time Abhimanyu and the rest of the family arrive, with the intruders apprehended. Abhimanyu, relieved to see the woman unharmed, calls the police. Akshara demands that they be arrested for kidnapping and attempted murder.
Ruhi insists on joining them for Diwali shopping the next day. Aarohi was originally concerned about space and the availability of an automobile. Ruhi offers to drive a different automobile, citing a classmate whose parents let her drive in their garage. Aarohi chastises Ruhi for her risky proposal, prompting Ruhi to accuse her of being a less caring mother.
Akshara steps in and shows Ruhi how much Aarohi adores her. Ruhi apologizes to Aarohi, and the shopping plans are altered to include Ruhi. Aarohi walks away from the market to take a phone call, leaving her luggage with Ruhi. Akshara and the others were intrigued by a panipuri stall and proceeded to eat panipuris. Ruhi seized the chance and attempted to drive the car by taking the keys from Aarohi's handbag. Soon later, they realize Ruhi is missing and scatter in separate directions to look for her.

Akshara ultimately finds Ruhi in the car and orders her to get out. Despite the reprimand, Ruhi persists and mistakenly releases the brakes. Akshara chastises her for her reckless behaviour and notifies the family that she has Ruhi with her. Muskaan arrives and takes Ruhi, however, the car begins to roll.
When Akshara finds the car has vanished, she sees it rolling downhill and Aarohi on the phone in the distance. She dashes toward the car, climbs in, and attempts to apply the brakes. She also screams Aarohi's name, and by the time she realizes, it's too late. Aarohi is hit by a car. Everyone rushes to her side as she remains unconscious after striking her head on a stone. This is the end of the episode.
