Aalisha Panwar and Gaurav Bajaj’s show Meri Gudiya to go off-air

TV show 'Meri Gudiya' will not be available to makers post lockdown. The show had Alisha Panwar and Gaurav S Bajaj playing lead roles and it started in December 2019. Many shows have been axed owing to the COVID-19 situation, and now 'Meri Gudiya' is also axed. Alisha Panwar, the lead actress told BT, "It is sad that the show had to be axed before the lockdown completely got over. We were prepared to shoot for it after lockdown but due to all the current crisis, the show had to be pulled off."

Ekta Kapoor announces Naagin 4 wrap up

The Nia Sharma, Anita Hassanandani, Rashami Desai and Vijayendra Kumeria starrer Naagin 4 will also wrap. TV Czarina announced it on social media and said that show will have a grand finale. They have already started working on Season 5 script and the hunt for a new Naagin is also on.

Patiala Babes

Patiala Babes, starring Ashnoor Kaur, Saisha Bajaj, Paridhi Sharma, Aniruddh Dave and Saurabh Raj Jain, has been taken off air. The show's last episode aired on March 27. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the shooting of the show was halted. But later in April it was decided to pull it off air. BT spoke to its producer, Rajita Sharma, who said, "Ours was always a finite series, but unfortunately, we are unable to shoot the remaining episodes because of the lockdown. None of us know when we will be in a position to resume shooting. So, it was a mutual decision to pull it off air."

Sourabh Raaj Jain and Ashnoor Kaur on Patiala Babes' abrupt end

The actor, who played Neil on the show, said, "We are living in unprecedented times and due to the lockdown, there was no clarity when shooting would resume. We were informed that a mutual decision was taken by the channel and our makers that the show was being pulled off air and would not be telecast after lockdown is lifted. It was always a finite series, and Neil and Mini's pairing was loved by the audience. I have personally enjoyed playing Neil’s character and he will always remain close to my heart." Lead actress of 'Patiala Babes', Ashnoor Kaur said, "I am not able to digest the fact that the show is over and we won't be working as a team. It is sad but I am happy that I got to portray a role like Mini and given the circumstances I think it was in everyone's interests."

Nazar 2

News of Monalisa starrer Nazar 2 going off air was confirmed by producer Gul Khan on social media. "Sad but true ... Nazar to go off air now ... feels like it was just yesterday it had launched ! TEAM NAZAR what an amazing job you guys did ! The most loving team of actors and technicians and writers I ever worked with ! Thank you,all of you for this wonderful journey!" The supernatural thriller was quite liked by the viewers and its being axed due to the pandemic has left fans sad.

Sheezan Mohd on 'Nazar 2' going off air

Actor Sheezan Mohd, one of the stars of the second season, said the decision is sad but, given the circumstances, it was expected. "I was preparing for Iftaari and I got a message from the production house that there's gonna be a conference call between us, the actors, and the makers. Honestly speaking, I thought 'this can't be good news' because con calls happen usually when the shoot is about to start or about to end. Unfortunately, I got a call saying that the show will not continue after the lockdown," Sheezan told IANS.

Beyhadh 2

Beyhadh 2 starring Jennifer Winget, Shivin Narang and Ashish Chaudhary, is another show that has got axed due to the lockdown. Prateek Sharma, producer of 'Beyhadh 2' told BT, "We all are in an unprecedented situation here and I would totally agree and go ahead with channel's decision in this matter as whatever they will decide will be in the best interest of all the concerned parties, including producer, actors, writers and the rest of the crew."

Shivin Narang on Beyhadh 2's disheartening end

Shivin said, "Beyhadh 2' had a huge fan following. It was a show which was true to its story and maintained a great standard in both the seasons. It is very disheartening if a show is axed like this. It is a helpless situation." An extreme reaction came from a fan who threatened to commit suicide if the show went off air. Reacting to this the actor added, "I know there is a huge outrage amongst fans and viewers, but nobody should harm themselves for 'Beyhadh 2'. I understand they love the show and are very attached to it. But I request them not to take any extreme measures or harm themselves. This is a time to be patient. The whole world is fighting Corona. So everyone should take care and be safe."

Dil Jaise Dhadke Dhadakne Do

Dil Jaise Dhadke... Dhadakne Do created by Mahesh Bhatt and produced by Guroudev Bhalla featured Javed Savaille, Hirva Trivedi, Rahil Azam and Shruti Seth was a new show which was indefinitely halted on March 27 when shooting of shows was stopped due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Ishaaron Ishaaron Mein

Starring Mudit Nayar, Simran Pareenja and Debattama Saha, the show was again halted due to Covid-19 crisis, and later it was announced that it won't return to the small screen at all. Its last episode aired on March 31, 2020.

Probably the only thing we should thank Corona is for stopping these nonsense daily soap from airing and ruining our time.Anyway to stop all Ekta Kapoor serials...
