TV actresses who resumed work right after their delivery

Many TV actresses are happily married and have embraced motherhood with arms wide open. While they have done that and more, they haven't let any of it act as a hindrance to their professional life. Some of them took or are taking their own sweet time to return to work, but there are others who didn't wait too long to get back to the grind. Here are a few TV actresses who resumed work right after their delivery...(Photo: Instagram)

Neha Dhupia

Neha Dhupia didn't take too long to return to work after delivering her baby girl, Mehr, in November 2018. The actress, in fact, started shooting for the adventure-reality show, Roadies, when her daughter was just 45 days old. Neha continues to juggle between her professional and personal life. She shared recently with TOI, "Now that she (Mehr) is growing up, I look forward to spending as much time with her as possible, even if it is the time when she is sleeping." (Photo: Instagram)

Saumya Tandon

Saumya Tandon of Bhabhi Ji Ghar Par Hain, who delivered a baby boy in January 2019, returned to work in May the same year. Interestingly, the actress' son accompanied her to the sets. Saumya was quite ecstatic on her first day of work after a long gap and was welcomed back with great cheer by the cast and crew. Talking about her career after having a baby, Saumya had earlier shared with us, "I believe motherhood should not stop a woman from achieving what she wants in life. I feel I am stronger now and more driven towards my dream. Hats off to all the women who are coming out and breaking all the stereotypes and celebrating marriage and motherhood. I really want the trend to go on because a woman doesn't become less desirable if she gets married or delivers a baby." (Photo: Instagram)

Surveen Chawla

Surveen Chawla was back to work within a few months of delivering her baby girl, Eva (born on April 15, 2019). The actress, who had shot for a web series during her pregnancy, returned to promote it. That's when she also talked about her pregnancy and life after her daughter came into this world, among other things. (Photo: Instagram)

Chhavi Mittal

Krishnadasi fame Chhavi Mittal resumed work less than a month after delivering baby boy Arham last year in May. It wasn't surprising as the actress had been quite active until the last day of her pregnancy. Just like Saumya who got her son to the sets, Chhavi's son accompanied her to the office. In one of her posts last year, where she shared about her first day at work after delivery, Chhavi said, "Little Arham and I resumed office this Thursday. It's a place that he's spent most of his time at while he was in my tummy.. no wonder he was so calm in the midst of discussions, story narrations, meetings. Little entrepreneur in the making completely at home in office!" (Photo: Instagram)

Priya Ahuja

Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah's Rita Reporter aka Priya Ahuja is back on the sitcom after delivering a baby boy on November 27 last year. The actress shot for one of the recent episodes which centered around coronavirus outbreak. Just like Neha Dhupia and Saumya Tandon, Priya returned to Taarak in just four months. Interestingly, Priya's husband Malav Rajda is the chief director of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah.(Photo: Instagram)

Kanika Maheshwari

Kanika Maheshwari, who played the role of Meenakshi in Diya Aur Baati Hum, resumed work within a few days after her delivery. The actress was blessed with a baby boy in April 2015. In fact, Kanika had earlier shared with TOI, "I worked through all the first 8 and a half months into my pregnancy and hardly had a 25 day maternity break. I was back to work soon after my delivery." To accommodate Kanika’s pregnancy, her character in the daily soap was also shown pregnant. And while she was on her maternity break, Meenakshi and her husband, Vikram (Karan Goddwani) were shown to be out of the country for some trip.(Photo: Instagram)
