The Great Indian Kapil Show 2: Karan Johar reveals Alia asked for his permission to eat the cupcake as she strictly dieting for Student Of The Year

Jigra actors Alia Bhatt and Vedang Raina walk the red carpet and grace the couch in the season two premiere of The Great Indian Kapil Show. They are joined by Karan Johar and film director Vasan Bala. However, Sunil Grover's portrayal of Ranbir Kapoor's ex, Dafli, steals the show. Giving off the same emotions as Gutthi, his connection with Alia Bhatt is the highlight.

Kapil Sharma welcomed Alia and Karan on the show for the premiere episode, after a fun banter about the bag exchange and Kapil's clothes, Kapil invited them to have a seat and begin with the episode. Kapil asked Karan about his current look to which he replied, "My look today is for my Ms Briganza aka Archana Puran Singh. I have dressed up for her today."

Further Kapil said, "Karan sir had launched Alia and they share an amazing bond. So how do you perceive your bond with Alia, a friend, daughter, aunt?" Karan replied, "I am Yash and Roohi's father but the first time I had the paternal feeling was with Alia. We were in a vanity van, we were doing a photoshoot for Alia's look test. She wasn't sure if she was in the film or not. For the past 3 months, she had been working on herself and she hadn't even eaten. After the shoot, Soni (Alia's mother) and I gave her a cupcake."

Karan added, "I told her that you are on the film and I am directing it. Alia got so emotional and her first question was 'Can I eat this', that is when I had that feeling. It has been ever since that she has been my first daughter."




Kapil asked the same question to Alia, she said, "He is everything to me, my friend, mentor and father figure. Now he's also my co-producer."
