On being asked about his thoughts on Ranbir Kapoor playing Lord Ram in the upcoming 'Ramayana' film?" Tarun shared, "I prefer not to judge based on a teaser alone. However, Ranbir Kapoor is one of the finest actors of our generation. I am confident he must have approached the role thoughtfully. I admire his dedication—he even attended my play Hamare Ram as part of his preparation. I respect him a lot and believe he will do justice to the role."
In an earlier interview with BollywoodSpy, Ramanand Sagar's Ramayan fame Arun Govil said he is confident that Ranbir Kapoor will play the role with honesty and depth. He also praised his values and dedication, calling him a “well-mannered young man.”
He said, “As far as Ranbir is concerned, I mean, he is a good actor. He works very hard. He is a very cultured kid, basically. He has a moral culture, I have seen it many times. So, I am very sure about it that he will try to do his level best."
Ramayana" will also see Sai Pallavi as Sita, Sunny Deol as Hanuman, Ravi Dubey as Lakshman and 'KGF' actor Yash as Raavana.
