Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah's Gogi aka Samay Shah recalls seeing his fake profile on social media, says 'They would take money from people to visit our set'

Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah has been entertaining fans for past 17 years, with the recent track Gogi going missing after losing all his money in the betting app. This has left everyone shocked and meanwhile Roshans and Tapusena come to know that Gogi had borrowed money from everyone. In a recent podcast, Samay Shah got candid about his favourite episode, fake profiles and more.

Tapu aka Bhavya Gandhi is my cousin and he has a unique perspective towards life, I would say that he is the one who showed and taught us how to perceive life differently. My bonding with Bhavya is much deeper in real life. Onscreen he was Tapu, he had to keep a good bond with all. But offscreen we shared a better bond.

My favourite episode till date has been the Kutch track where Jethalal goes to Pakistan. It was extremely fun and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The fans favourite would be the science exam track. That explanation by Jethalal is absolutely entertaining and how amazing. The way he described how did Iyer become a scientist.

There are so many memories of the show, all of us were sitting recently and we were deciding whom would we all miss the most. It is usually said that home is about the people but for me, it's the place. The Taarak Mehta's set, I have plenty of memories with each and every corner of the set. I am 23 and I have spent 17 years on this set. Almost my whole life has been spent here and I have practically grown up here.

I remember someone had made a fake profile on social media and took money from people to make them visit Taarak Mehta sets or come near our residence. A fan had even shown the profile and asked me, 'yeh aap hi ho na, aapse baat ki thi aur paise bhi diye the yahan aane ke liye.' And I would be baffled as I never spoke to anyone or asked for money.

As we spoke about cybercrime, I remember getting numerous calls from an unknown numbers and they would keep telling me that my EMI is pending, they would say my phone's EMI is due and I need to pay it. But the truth is I don't even have any EMIs.
