Shoaib Ibrahim shares glimpses from his intimate birthday celebration amidst wife Dipika Kakar’s liver cancer journey; says ‘I am glad she is home’

Shoaib Ibrahim celebrated his birthday with an intimate gathering at home, amidst wife Dipika Kakar’s ongoing liver cancer recovery. With emotions running high and blessings counted, he shared heartfelt moments and gratitude for having Dipika home. “The best gift I have got today is Dipika is home on my birthday,” he shared, reflecting love and resilience through this tough phase.

“I didn’t want to celebrate my birthday but next day is Ruhaan’s birthday so I told everyone to decorate for him,” Shoaib shared. With Dipika still recovering, the family kept it low-key yet full of love. “She doesn’t want to feel left out,” he added, as she moved around gently, wearing a mask and staying strong.

Shoaib called Dipika’s homecoming his biggest birthday present. “Though further procedures are due, the major surgery was successful. She has cold and we are in consult with doctors,” he said. Amidst uncertainty, her presence made the day special. “There are a lot of post-surgery requirements, but they are being taken care of,” he added gratefully.

“We would have usually gone out for Ruhaan and my birthday… but God has different plans,” Shoaib reflected. This year, togetherness mattered most. “It is a blessing that everyone is safe and all are together,” he shared, appreciating family unity in trying times over lavish outings or big celebrations.

Ruhaan added joy to the evening with his playful antics. He was saying alphabets with Dipika. The room was decorated with cake, balloons and candles. Despite not feeling well, Dipika joined with a mask, making the moment even more special and heartfelt.

Shoaib cut his birthday cake with Dipika and Ruhaan by his side. Surrounded by all family members hale and hearty, he expressed his gratitude. The simplicity of the moment—love, smiles, and closeness—overshadowed everything else, marking a celebration of resilience more than anything material.

“You all know how difficult times our family has been through,” Shoaib shared candidly. “When you see your special one in a hospital bed, nothing else matters. The only thing that matters is the special moments spent with my family, the good, bad and all things.” He also thanked his fans and followers, calling them his strength. “And all my social media family who have been with me throughout, I respect all the relationship, even if we don’t share surname, but you have been my strength throughout.”

Dipika expressed deep emotions, saying, “When such things happen, you tend to think the worst. But I feel blessed to be here at home.” Reflecting on Shoaib’s and Ruhaan’s birthdays, which fall on June 19 and 21 she added, “Thank you for being in my life. You are my strength and backbone,” bringing a tearful yet beautiful end to their celebration.
