Shiv's absence responsible for dip in Balika Vadhu ratings?

Siddharth Shukla, who plays Shiv in Balika Vadhu, hasn't been shooting for the show for almost three weeks.
He is currently shooting his movie in Chandigarh. And since then the ratings of the show have dipped. For once the number one show has been pipped to post by Sasural Simar Ka, which garnered a rating of 2.7.

Says a source, "Along with Jagdish (Shashank Vyas) and Ganga (Sargun Mehta), viewers love to watch the chemistry of Shiv and Anandi (Toral Rasputra).With Siddharth busy shooting his movie, there is nothing much that could be done to Anandi and Shiv's track. The dip in the ratings could be attributed to his absence. We hope that he returns soon."
However, Siddharth rubbishes off the claim and says, "I don't think ratings go up because of just one actor. We all contribute equally."
Well, we hope that it's true and the show reclaims its lost position soon.
