Anupam Mittal, one of the 'sharks' on the reality show Shark Tank India, spoke on how artificial intelligence might transform the world, highlighting a company in which he had invested. Anupam stated that the founders, two young Indian 'kids', have created a 'locket' that functions almost like 'magic'. In an interview, he explained the device's capabilities.
Anupam spoke on Himesh Madaan's YouTube channel to promote the forthcoming fourth season of Shark Tank India, where he discussed the influence that AI will have on businesses worldwide. “There is a mindboggling opportunity in healthcare with AI. The cost of healthcare is growing, and everybody accumulates several test reports over the course of their lives. But if a healthcare-centric large-language model emerges, then your entire health history can be mapped. That’s going to happen. Because in India, if we want to solve healthcare for 1.5 billion people, we can’t implement Western solutions, because it’s too damn expensive. We cannot afford it,” he said.
Anupam Mittal stated that everyone 'would have a co-pilot in the next five years', referring to AI helpers. Anupam cited an example of a company in which he has personally invested. Anupam quipped, “I’m actually the founding investor in a company that has created a locket… Significantly advanced technology is no different than magic. Two kids have made this. You wear it on your neck, it listens to all your conversations and recognises who you’re talking to based on their voice. It has access to your email and contact book. Based on that, I can just look at an app on my phone, and it will tell me exactly what we spoke about the last time, and what I should be talking to you about next.”
Anupam has been in every season of Shark Tank India and will return for the fourth season. The show will return in January.
